Is this problem unique to this song, or does the same thing happen no matter which song you use?
Have you tried converting the song to a WAV to see if that makes a difference?
Please tell us more about this .WMA Clip. What does the Duration show as in the Project Panel? Exactly what is inside the .WMA "wrapper?" There can be many things inside, and that can affect the results in PrE.
Which Audio Track did you place this Clip on?
Does this Clip play fine in, say Windows Media Player? In Properties there, what is the Duration shown as?
When the Clip is on the Timeline, does the Waveform display for the entire Duration?
Was anything else ever on that Audio Track, and if so, did you do anything with Audio Mixer?
Thanks for the info, and good luck,
Seems after I rebooted it cleared up. Must be related to memory issues. Does PE8 consume that much of
my system memory? I have 4gb and shut all programs down to keep max memory available. Is there anything else I can do to add more to the memory that PE8 uses (adjust virtual memory, etc?)
Thanks again, will reboot before I post next issue!
Now, there CAN be more than just shutting down the "usual suspects." Take a look at this ARTICLE, and see if there are some other programs and Processes, that can be shut down, especially when you edit. Remember, there is memory that equals RAM, and then there is your Page File, Both will come into play, when editing.
