I have a WSDL which refers to an external schema (XSD files).
After generating ActionScript and calling the web service, I see one HTTP request for each external XSD file referenced in the WSDL.
Previously, in Flex Builder 3, the external types were also imported as generated ActionScript classes and these extra HTTP requests were not occuring.
It looks as thought Flash Builder isn't genereting these types, and so has to look them up at runtime.
I'd hate to think that this is by design, as it will *significantly* increase the load on the HTTP server.
Did I miss an option when importing the web service into Flash Builder to avoid the extra runtime lookups?
Any thoughts/help are appreciated.
Just to clarify what might not be clear from the title of the post...
This issue is a runtime issue with the code generated which uses fds.swc/fiber.swc.
There have been requests on this and currently this is not supported. (check this thread http://forums.adobe.com/message/2267567#2267567)
you can vote for the bugs for this to be supported in a later build / release.
