Posing the installation log file would be helpful.
To get the install log, create a .airinstall.log file in your home directory.
Then run the installation. When done, the .airinstall.log has the installation log.
I should have mentioned that I am using Windows 7.
Regret have tried unsuccessfully to follow your instructions. The file I
have created is not producing the installation log.
I have problems with upgrading adobe every time i download a newer version.
I am also unable to uninstall or install AIR in XP+SP3. I get "Adobe Air Installer has to close, please tell Microsoft" when (a) I try to uninstall AIR from Add/Remove Programs, or (b) try to install AIR from the get.adobe.air download, or (c) try to run something that needs AIR. In case (c) the application eventually runs after I dismiss several "Air has to close" boxes. Can someone at Adobe give me a manual uninstall procedure please. I cannot find an installation log anywhere - where would it be and what is it's name?
Later: I read about how to create an install log: nothing is written to it.
Later still: msicuu.exe doesn't work either - AIR is still listed in Add/Remove programs and still won't uninstall.
