I'm also wondering about the corrupt .fpj issue. The 8.0.2 readme mentions only the growing CPD, flickering cursor, and missing files. My observation is that the fpj went south long before the cpd began causing problems.
Yes. For those who may have missed it, there were pre-release DLLs available to those RoboHelp authors who were willing to test them. The RH 8.0.2 update does affect those two DLLs (with modifications.)
As Ankur Jain mentions in his post, the pre-release participants will be sent specific instructions how they should install the 8.0.2 update. (It involves rolling back to their previous DLL versions before installing the new update.)
As Peter mentions, hold your horses. More info to come...

So, there will be detailed instructions for those who:
- Have not installed 8.0.1 and have not installed the pre-release DLLs.
- Have installed 8.0.1 and have installed the pre-release DLLs.
- Have not installed 8.0.1 and have installed the pre-release DLLs.
- Have installed 8.0.1 and have not installed the pre-release DLLs.
You need to realize that all the RoboHelp source files make up an ecosystem of sorts. While on the surface it may appear that the FPJ and CPD aren't really related, they are. More closely than you might imagine. Changes to one may affect the other in unusual ways. And I believe that was really the crux of the matter. They were managing to get out of sync under certain circumstances. This also likely played a role with the flickering cursor.
Hopefully the patch will restore harmony.
