    hide page extensions

Aside from renaming my files to index.html and dumping them into their own directory, how can page extensions be hidden? Would this be a configuration on my apache server?

You can mess around with Apache and do that using mod_rewrite. There are
oodles of descriptions for how to do such things on the web.
