If the project contains anything MPEG related, that can not be used with the trial, as is explicitly stated on the Adobe site. If the project is DV, all files must have the exact same drive letter and directory structure as at school.
Did you bring home everything used in the project, or just the project file?
As has been stated, your Assets could be the issue, if they are MPEG.
For the transport, Harm & Jim make good points. I'd use an external HDD (FW-800, or even better eSATA, but you need the connections for either on both computers). Everything must be on the External - Project, CFA, PEK, meida - everything.
Now, it is unlikely that you can get into the OS of your school's computer's OS, so you will need to take note of which drive that the school's computer assigns to the external - very important. Now, back home, before you launch PrPro, set that external to that same drive letter in your OS. Then launch PrPro and then Open that .prproj file. If your Assets are NOT MPEG, then all should Open fine.
