    Effects are changing direction

Using CS4, I have an illustration that is 4.25 x 11 inches and need to print two copies of it on a landscape orientation 8.5 x 11 inch paper. One copy of the illustration is right side up, and the other copy is rotated upside down. The two copies of the illustration butt together at the top in the center of the page.

The problem is that the Effects, like drop shadows (and there are many drop shadows in this illustration) are changing to the opposite direction in the copy that is upside down. Is there a setting that will keep the effects oriented the same way on both copies of this illustration?
