    Spry Menu bar flickers

    lynruss
      I am having trouble inserting a spry menu bar. When I preview the page in either Firefox or IE the menu bar flickers when I move the mouse over it. Here is a sample page to show what I mean. If anyone can help I will be really grateful!
      Thanks Lyn.

          Hello,

          Change the font size in the hover style to 0.8em like the rest of the links.
          On hover, the font size is currently set at 0.8px.

          a:hover {
          color: #990033;
          font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
          font-size: 0.8px; <--------------
          }

          Also, please use Firefox and enlarge the browser's text size. ( ctrl+ +)
          Notice how the text overflows out of the AP Divs you built the layout with.
          For everyone who has his or her browser's text size larger than your
          browser's text size, the page will be broken and probably illegible.

          This is just one of the problems with using AP Divs.

          Please..please..please read this link before you get too far into this site.
          Luckily, you've just started designing the layout.
          You will save yourself a lot of frustration.
          See "The trouble with layers" section.

          http://apptools.com/examples/pagelayout101.php

          You can also search this forum for "layers", or "my page breaks" or "how do
          I center" to read some posts by people who finished sites built with AP Divs
          before noticing all the trouble. They had to start over in most cases.

          Layers are tempting because you can "drag and drop".
          You pay a huge price for this though.
          DW should have a warning that pops up stating AP Divs should only be used in
          certain circumstances when you try to use
          You can easily create the layout using tables and nested tables or regular
          divs with CSS positioning.
          And, you won't have a broken site.

          Take care,
          Tim
