I have been using Premiere Elements 3.0 with windows XP and it has been sufficient for what I want to do. I have now upgraded to Windows 7 and the disk will not reinstall the program. I noticed that there was an update for Vista of Premiere Elements 3.0.2, which I tried, but that progam won't run unless I have my original program installed. How can I resolve this to get the progam onto the system? Thanks.
3.0.2 should be an update to an installed version of PrE3. It offered Vista compatibility, plus a few other things. Considering that there was a patch to get PrE 3 to run under Vista, leads me to believe that one will need to do something, as John mentions, to run even PrE 3.0.2.

I think XP Mode is only for W7 Pro and W7 Ult. If running under any other of the W7 variants you only get the the 'traditional' Vista compatbility mode. If you have a genuine XP license you can install and run XP in a virtual PC.
