What are ways to handle resizing in flex web applications? Basically, I want my interface to be usable even if the browser is resized, so I figured the easiest option was to add a scroll bar when the browser window resizes. Unfortunately, setting verticalScrollPolicy for the application object to "auto" or "on" doesn't work.
I've searched and I can't seem to find anything specific to flex.
In general you can just use auto-layout containers such as VBox, HBox, etc. and achieve a good degree of auto-layout on resize.
But you still must put thought into designing your app with resizing in mind.
There might be a minimum size beyond which the user should not be able to resize, otherwise your design would break down and controls might start to layout poorly.
In some cases Canvas and constraint-based layout are useful, but auto-layout is usually the way to go.

I think that answers my question. I started using "absolute" layout without thinking about it, but obviously that's not going to be very conducive to resizing elegantly
