Welcome to the forum.
In PSE's SlideShow feature, there is a Random Pan & Zoom. Do not know if PrE has the same. Which version are you using?
Thanks for the reply.
I'm using PRE 8.
Seems a bit buggy, but hopefully a patch will be released soon.
That version info will help someone. In PrE 4 (my version), there is no Random Pan & Zoom. In PSE, there is. In Adobe Encore's SlideShow feature, there is. I just do not know if PrE 8 might have added it. As PSE does have the feature, I could see why it might not be included in PrE.
Wait a moment, as others, with PrE 8 will weigh-in, and might be able to point you to it.
As you said, Hunt. Random pans & zooms are a feature of the Organizer's slideshow creator, not Premiere Elements. However, once you've created your slideshow in the Organizer's slideshow creator, you can send it to Premiere Elements for finishing.
Another option is to use one of the InstantMovie themes, which add pans, zooms and other effects to your gathered slides. In the Themes option panel, you can select which effects are added and which are omitted.
Another option is to download and unzip the Motion Path pack I created for Muvipix.com. (It's free if you register to the site, which is also free.) As long as your photos are sized to 1000x750 pixels, you can add these motion paths (pans & zooms) just by dragging them onto your stills. Instructions for using the pack are included in the zip file.
Steve: Thanks so much. As I am now just finding that I may be able to pan & zoon stills, but on my PE7 I cannot find a more button anywhere in order to select your import presets as below. Please help.
o install this set of presets in Premiere Elements:
1. Unzip this file to a folder on your hard drive
2. Open Premiere Elements' Effects and Transitions panel
3. From the More button, select Import Presets
4. Browse to the prfpset files, select them all (hold down the Shift key and select the first, then the last) and then Open
5. The presets will appear in your My Presets folder
The More button will be visible if you go to the Window drop-down and select Show Docking Headers.
In version 7, the More button is the >> button in the upper right of each panel.
Cannot find slide show creator in PE7 organizer? Or, do I have it mixed up with another program? Please help.
It is under the Create tab in the Photoshop Elements 7 Organizer.
It is not a feature of the Premiere Elements 7 Organizer unfortunately so, unless you have both programs, you will not be able to use it.
THANKS FOR ALL YOU HELP!
Glad we could help. Tom!
On Muvipix.com you can download from my gallery the "20 Pans and Zooms" theme for Premiere Elements 7 that applies random pans and zooms just like the ones in Photoshop Elements. It's in a zip file and includes the instructions. http://muvipix.com/cpg/displayimage.php?pos=-2679
I also have a simple theme that applies random transitions: http://muvipix.com/cpg/displayimage.php?pos=-2678
Thank you Robert
