In respect to the basic function of the OSMF media player,Will the STOP function be considered in the future?
If yes,there will be a new trait added in the org.osmf.traits package.Is it all right?
If not,How can we implement the STOP function under the current media framework?
Will you give me some advice?
Normally the only difference between STOP and PAUSE is that a stop command is a pause + seek to time 0.
In a VCR the stop button tends to remove the image while a pause button keeps the image. If that is what you wish to do with OSMF then the best thing to do is to pause, and then change the visibility of the video. so vid.pause() ; removeChild(vid);
But in online video, a STOP is normally just a Pause with a seek to time of 0.
That's exactly how we've implemented the stop() method on MediaPlayer: a pause() followed by a seek(0).
Thanks a lot Brian!
The stop function goes well!
Thank you very much!
If it is RTMP stream,shouldn't there be stop command and interactive message between client and server?
