A spark Label is designed as a light-weight text element, which is wat I need to display some simple text.
My question is, can I use some simple styles WITHIN one spark Label?
<s:text>The <b>quick</b> <color="brown"> brown </color> fox jumped <u>over</u> the lazy dog.</s:text>
No. I believe that Spark Label only supports a single style and plain text. If you want rich text and multiple styles/colors/formats, you need to use the Spark RichText control instead.
Can you tell me, if the priority set to make a simple Flex site containing simple text as compact as possible [read: without the Text Layout Framework], would you use a couple of s:Label's, or just a s:RichText?
It's like displaying the following:
This is a BOLD message title
This message contains simple text, nothing
more, nothing less. Just plain ASCII.
