Is there any way around this? My project previously used WMV video, which loaded almost instantly from the CD. Moving to FLV video (same file size), it takes forever (10-20 seconds) for a video to load. Not a problem if the videos are on the hard drive.
Is there any way to preload some portion of the videos during launch? Any settings that might help?
You can place the sprite that holds the flv behind another sprite so that the contents will load into memory and the flash xtra will be instantiated. Then move the flv sprite or remove the masking sprite to show the video.
