How to save accented characters with ZendAMF, MySQL and FLex?

      Hi all,

      I've encountered the following issue:

I'm using Flash Builder 4, ZendAMF and MySQL (LAMP-server)

and every time I want to store a name with for example the following characters:

      üéâ

I see the following in the database:

      üéâ

The tablse are configured with the default InnoDB engine, and I've tried the following charsets:

      latin1

      utf8 utf8_general

      utf8 utf8_unicode

      All give the same result.

If I want to store üéâ in the database, it works as expected.

So my guess is that something goes wrong with either Flex, ZendAMF, or the combination of these two.

      Can someone give clue?
