    null title

      Whenever I open a browser popup window my applications page title turns to the word "null"

      Is this normal, how can I prevent this from happening?

          Use pageTitle:

          <mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="absolute"

              backgroundColor="#739DE5" creationComplete="onCreationComplete()" initialize="onInitialize()"

              xmlns:tabs="views.*" xmlns:custom="custom.*" pageTitle="YourTitle">

          You can also call this function on show to always have the same title:

              public function changeTitle():void {
                  var bm : IBrowserManager = BrowserManager.getInstance();
                  bm.init("", "YourTitle");
                     bm.setTitle( "YourTitle");
              }

            My title is already set in the application tags..

            Initially the title is fine, but as the user uses my application there are a few browser pop up windows that appear to show external information. When these windows open my main applications page title changes to "null" automatically.

            I am using ExternalInterface.call(...) to open my popup windows because i needed additional JS functionality, maybe that has something to do with it.

              Call this function from the methods that make your title to disapear.

                 public function changeTitle():void {
                      var bm : IBrowserManager = BrowserManager.getInstance();
                      bm.init("", "YourTitle");
                      bm.setTitle( "YourTitle");
                  }
