    Damaged Document - no Root XMLElement

    AdobeScripts Level 3

      hi

      I have few INDD files and InDesign CS3 hangs on these files when I try to duplicating any object by ALT+mouse - ALT+SHIFT+CTRL+D works fine - object is duplicated, Copy&Paste also works fine.

      Below is error message:

      It is always XML.RPLN.

      What is very strange - there is NO XMLElement(s) in these files ?!?!

      I can't add any XMLElement to this file - by script or by Taggin in UI or by importing XML file - InDesign always hangs with the same message.

      INX'ing doesn't help, editing INX file and adding one missing line - nothing helps.

      Do you know of any way to fix these files ?

      here is small script which caused all trouble:

      app.documents.item(-1).xmlStories.item(-1).texts.item(-1).contents = "";
