Contact the owner and ask for the source material. YouTube is not suitable for editing. It has already been edited and if you don't have the source, logically you are not allowed to edit it either.
After playing Youtube go to your temp internet
files and copy the file to HDD which is a mp4.
Add this to the Media Encoder and see if it will work now.
If it still does not work, your ME is prob. not working right.
I sometimes use AME as a converter and it handles mp4 just fine.
I don't think it's AME that's the problem.
When I try to put it into virtualdub I get a "there is no video stream" error.
I think there's something weird about the video itself. It plays fine, so I can't figure out what the problem is.
SUPER is the only thing that successfully encodes it, but......well, it's a really long story why I can't use SUPER. If no new solutions arise maybe I'll give the story about what I'm trying to do and that'll help.
And no, I can't use SUPER and then put it in AME. It works, yes, but the problem is the video SUPER makes. It looks fine, and encodes fine, but it's doing something odd behind the scenes and I can't figure it out. Like I said, I'll explain that later if the time comes. In any case, I want to fix this AME problem.
Dovnload Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate and convert MP4 form youtube as MPG2 or AVI and then import the clip in Premiere this help for me
