Pls check that in both the OS versions font used same type (Means Postscript font or open type font something like that)
If this is changing surely font appearance will get change. Try to reinstall the font again and check whether it is working or not!!
Thanks for the reply. Yes the font is the same version on both
machines. GE provides a link to download the font in either mac (type
1) or windows (true type) formats. Both macs have the type 1 version
Update: An outside vendor is having the same problem when they open
the CS3 file in CS4.
mac (type 1) or windows (true type) formats.
Are you sure? Apple have long ceased native support of PostScript fonts in OSX which may be part of the problem. For OpenType fonts it shouldn't matter much, whether you use the Type 1 flavor or the TrueType flavor. There are only minor differences in encoding that usually don't affect standard character ranges. Any chance of getting access to the fonts without being associated with GE?
Yes this font is only available in those two formats and only
accessible to GE personnel or approved vendors. It came from GE
corporate about 3 years ago for the redesign of the energy smart
product line. It's mostly used internally by marketing for
presentations and internal publications (pc only), but packaging
which goes to press has to work with it too.
Update to update. The outside that had the same issue is using os
So to sum up:
CS3 OS 10.4 no problem
CS3 OS10.5 problem
CS4 OS10.4 problem
