We have a client that wants to link their particular Help to our larger Webhelp. Is this possible? If we send them a new version every couple of months would they have to redo all their links? I'm using RH7.

Hi there

As long as you don't move topics around or change their names, I'm guessing the links should remain stable.

I'd say it's just like saving a favorite to a web page. The page author can change content al s/he likes and it really doesn't affect your favorite. But if they decide to move the page to a different location or rename it, poof!

So what I'm wondering is, instead of just creating a link that opens another other project, you can go from one specific page in one project to one specific page in another.

Thanks,

Rich

Hi again

And the question is?

Seriously, if the links are working today, you change nothing but perhaps add a few new topics and deploy a new WebHelp, as long as the same locations are left intact and the original file names weren't changed, there should be no issues with linking.

Cheers... Rick
