I have found that it's sometimes easier to take a good look at the xml file.
I'm no coder but when you already have a working slide show, it's often
fairly simple to see the bit that is different and alter it accordingly.

Hey thanks for the reply guys! I am now paying more attention to the xml file code. Actually I think I solved the problem by simply deleting Temporary Files in my Browser. Hitting Ctrl-F5 multiple times wasn't sufficient. I'm now having fun playing with different transitions!
information on adding photos in fireworks. but a little more will work in apositive manner .
i would never have thought of paying attention to that mundane xml fine.. real eye opener!
