Dreamweaver 8 never remembers Site Management information

My version of Dreamweaver 8 never remembers any remote site username or password information. I have reinstalled from the licensed box several times. Our company has several websites, and, without fail, each time I open any of our sites in Dreamweaver 8, it has completely lost all of the site remote information - this is true for all of our sites. This is becoming extremely irritating. Any suggestions........other than reinstalling, yet again?? Also, I have tried exporting site definitions, but perhaps I am not using it properly, as when reimporting them, Dreamweaver wants to build an all-new site.
