I may be misunderst
anding you but,
wouldn't it be easier to set the opening
page in File > Document Properties > Initial View menu?
All extra linefeeds kindly provided by the software.
yes, you might have misunderstood me or perhaps I wasn't clear enough.
I have an Excelfile and depending on the value in a cell I want to open a specific PDF on a specific page.
Using the #page=<pageno> command I manage to open the PDF on the specific page but only if the PDF opens in a web browser. If a user has the settings that the PDF should open in Acrobat Reader, the PDF opens on page 1.
This Excelfile will be used by many different users and I have no idea and cannot control if the users settings makes the PDF open in the browser or in Acrobat Reader.
I was hoping that someone had succeded in opening a PDF on a specific page, using VBA.
For the use outside of a browser you can use DDE communication,
I'm unfortunately not really sure what you mean... Do you have any example?
You can find information about DDE communication with Adobe Reader in the 'Interapplication Communication API Reference':
