My boss gave me 6 videos to put on our Website. They are all .mpg (MPEG 1) 320x240. What is the most elegant way to put these on a Website. Usually when I make Web videos from scratch I render them as uncompressed video and then use Sorenson Squeeze to convert them to .flv. These are already compressed as .mpg. Should I pursue a different strategy?
Assuming the quality isn't too bad in the current format, i'd just do as you have been and squeeze them to flv files.
I'd run 'em through the CS4 AME directly and export as Lagarith or UT
AVI files. Then do your normal thing with Sorenson.
