My current project involves footage from a variety (about 50) different cameras across the world. The end result is HD on Blu-Ray at 1440x1080i. A lot of the footage is HD, but a lot of SD stuff as well, in NTSC and PAL.
The PAL footage gives me headaches... I've used AME to encode it to NTSC, and it works fine in the timelines, unless I change the speed. I'll get super funky dancing images (back and forth) at speed changes slower than 80%.
Any ideas? Would a better conversion to NTSC help? If so, what's a good batch converter that can do it?
Thanks a million,
It does great PAL <--> NTSC conversions. It's free. It uses existing
open-source tools. Read the dv2film.txt file for details on how to set
up the standards conversion.
Jeff, thanks - I'll check it out.
