I would like to build a web application , how to do that with flex? I already build an application by making use of JSP, Servlets, Java, Oracle for database and Tomcat. Now i want to integrate Flex into my application. Now the question is, what  are all needed to build an application with flex, that application should make use of database. Its like web application. Please clarify my doubt. I'm very thankful to you all. As i already aware with JSP, Tomcat please direct me in that way. Don't sugest me PHP, coldfusion like that. Thank you.

You will build your UI in Flex and deploy as at least a SWF and HTML wrapper file. Your JSP can call the wrapper HTML file, and you can use the Flex HTTPService, WebService, and RemoteObject controls to access data.

I always suggest simply going through the Flex Builder help system from the top.

It gives a great overview of the key constructs in Flex, and then continue and you will get a very good foundation in Flex, much better than you will get with any book or videos.
