Why is so hard to precisely position a drop shadow on text. It's hard to get the drop shadow exactly where I want it. It's easier to position a drop shadow in Microsoft Word than it is in Fireworks. Why can't you simply use the arrow keys to go up, down, left, right. That would give you the precision you need. Maybe I'm missing something. Does anyone know of an easier method to use other than that stupid degree circle.
You can use the arrow keys to move the shadow if yiu create it as a seperate image object. Clone the text, add a gaussian blur. Move it behind yiour original text. Move it where you like. If you want to use the built in shadow filter, then type the coordinates in rather than using the dial and slider.
Thanks Linda, You're a genius!!! It never occurred to me use a seperate image. I should've known there's always more than one way to skin a cat. I was definitely falling out of love with Fireworks. Thanks to you, I'm back in looove again!!!
Glad to have renewed your Fireworks passion. :-)
