I am writing an app where i wish to make an mx:Window (smaller) to always stay on top of another mx:Window (bigger), but without using the alwaysOnTop property.
My problem is now that whenever the bigger mx:Window receives focus it is put in front of the smaller window, hiding it from the user.
Using the alwaysOnTop property works, but is not a good thing to in this case in respect of the user and other applications.
You can add an event handler for the activate event of the main window. The event handler could then call the activate() method of the other (smaller) Window object.
