"The Adobe Acrobat/Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF files in a Web Browser."

I am a consultant and provide techical support for a company that has a couple of users that have this happen as a recurring problem. The first few times it happened, I found the fix by googling the title (which is also the error message generated by the problem), which is to edit the registry as follows:

Go to Start > RunType regedit and click OK.Browse to the following key: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Software\Adobe\Acrobat\ExeMake sure that the correct Default data value is set for the path where Adobe Reader or Acrobat are installed. The default installation values are "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" or "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Reader\Acrobat.exe", depending on whether Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat is installed.

The fix works, but, I have to do this fix every other month.

Does anyone know how to prevent this from recurring?
