1. Re: Search and replace Hyperlinks in Acrobat
try67 Dec 25, 2009 2:55 AM (in response to JWH-NIRC)This is not trivial to achieve.
You will need to either recreate the PDF files, or develop a plugin that does it, or purchase a third-party application that can do it.

JWH-NIRC Dec 25, 2009 3:02 AM (in response to try67)I don't mean to be a Grinch, but your informing me that the problem is not "trivial" and requires help tells me nothing more than what I knew before I I opened the thread. Anyway, I owe you a "Merry Christmas" for taking the time to write a sympathy note!

try67 Dec 25, 2009 3:11 AM (in response to JWH-NIRC)I provided you with 3 possible solutions for your problem. If you were
already aware of those options, you should have mentioned it in your
original post.

4. Re: Search and replace Hyperlinks in Acrobat
GKaiseril Dec 25, 2009 5:07 AM (in response to try67)You can include Acrobat JavaScript within a PDF or you can create an Acrobat JavaScript in an Acrobat/Reader application folder called 'JavaScript'. Acrobat JavaScript is designed primarily for interactive forms and have very limited editing capabilities. It can read each word and find 'http://www...' but it can not edit the text. Further for a text or image link, Acrobat JavaScript can not access the link address behind the text. As Try67 has pointed out, this will require some very advance programing either by you or by acquiring a 3rd party plug-in.
