Using a progress bar to let a user know how much more live streaming video data is to be buffered before it starts playing. Have that much working fine.
Problem is, if the buffer is used up, and I need to rebuffer, I can't seem to get the progress bar reset and visible again. Seems once it hits 100% on app start up it can't be reused. What am I missing here?
I'm catching the proper NetStream.netStatus events. The hook for the empty buffer is there and is executing. I'm just not seeing how I might redisplay and start a fresh bar there?
Well my last few posts here seem to be conversations with myself. That's OK. Sometimes a little alone time is a good thing.
The progress bar seems to be quite a little bugger. See for yourself:
Is anyone actually using this thing in manual mode? If so, how are you getting it to work? Mine (and those listed above) will not visually update. Not much of a progress bar if it won't visually update now is it.
Just like the other guys there, debugging I find the line of code that updates the bar is getting executed repeatedly. The PB's label updates fine with new percentages. The following line of code just seems to have no effect though on the colored bar:
Did you look at the example in the ASDoc for ProgressBar? That works fine for me. I would say you weren't allowing the Player a chance to render except that you say the percentage label gets updated.
I'm afraid I can't help you without a simple use case.
