    Text over video with Adobe AIR

    verseview

      Is there a way with Adobe AIR and Java Script or other supported Air technologies to do text over video. Basically I want a video to be playing in the background and the the text appears over it and the text could change with the video continuing to play.

      Thank you

          With absolute layout this is doable.

          <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
          <mx:WindowedApplication xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml"
            layout="absolute">
            <mx:VideoDisplay id="vid" source="video1.flv" creationComplete="vid.play();"
              width="320" height="240"/>
            <mx:Text id="txt" text="Hello Video" fontSize="30" color="0xFF0000"
              x="70" y="190"/>
          </mx:WindowedApplication>

            Thank you for the response. I will try this.

            Let me also ask this question. Is there anyway to do this without flex, just using java script? My current application is all done in javascript.
