I have created a sequence in PPro CS4. It is HD 1920 x 1080 - probably interlaced as it came from a Sony SR10 PAL camera.
The sequence is 7 minutes long.
When I encode it using Media Encoder CS4, I have set it to H264 and TS multiplex. When I set the constant/ variable bitrate to 11 Mbps, the final file is around 1600MB, at 1920 x 1080i.
In my opinion, a 11Mbps video file, which is 7 minutes should be around 580MB. (7m x 60s x 11Mbps / 8bits)
What is going on?
Don't forget to calculate your Audio too.
Thank you for your answer, but audio rate is around 192Kbps, which is tiny compared to the video rate.
