1. Re: Welcome Screen and Manual
the_wine_snob Dec 29, 2009 3:55 PM (in response to WalterSeaton)As far as the manual for PrE 8, I think that Steve Grisetti's Muvipix book is as good as it gets.
Regarding the Welcome Screen, there are a couple of threads on changing its behavior. Seems that ATR (A T Romano) offered a full set of tips on the Welcome Screen. I just do not recall the steps and will likely mess you up badly.
Good luck,
Hunt

the_wine_snob Dec 29, 2009 4:58 PM (in response to Steve Grisetti)Steve,
Thanks for that. I thought that the Welcome Screen info was in ATR's Initial Impressions thread, but searched that, and much of the rest of the forum with no luck. Glad that your memory is better than mine!
BTW - hope that you're thawing out, and that you have a Happy New Year!

Steve Grisetti Dec 29, 2009 5:01 PM (in response to the_wine_snob)Thanks for the warm wishes, Hunt. But I think you even got a chill there in Arizona this week!
Happy new year, my friend.

the_wine_snob Dec 29, 2009 5:13 PM (in response to Steve Grisetti)Yes, it's partly sunny, albeit rather cool here too. No nearby snow, but then we are still close to all of our friends from Denver. They are not quite as lucky as we have been. I have expected to have a houseful of "snow-birds." Now, we are leaving these sunny climes for a trip to the Smoky Mtns. soon, so we do get to wear our topcoats and the like - things that stay in storage in AZ.
Take care and Happy New Year!
