- Click on Share tab
- Click "Personal Computer"
- Select Mpeg from the top bars
- Next to presets, from the drop down menu, select "MPEG2 Multimedia Compatible"
This will give you a 320 x 240 output. Click Save and it will output.
The default mbps for this selection is 6. If you need to up the quality, go to 8, or even to 10.
Hope this helps.
Brilliant. Thanks; that hit the nail squarely on the head.
Happy New Year!
Okay I checked the quality and the picture is fuzzy. I tried changing the mbps to 8 with the Quality level at 4, then mbps to 10 and quality at 5 and both are fuzzy. Are there any other settings I can adjust?
What Project Preset did you choose? Unfortunately, with that footage, one cannot do a "custom" Project Preset, like they can in PrPro. What is happening is that your source footage is being scaled up, then scaled down. The next is that you are also compressing your source footage to MPEG, which will cost quality.
Second question: what are the specs. of your AVI source footage. The freeware utility, G-Spot, will give you that info. This ARTICLE will give you some background on AVI, which is but a "wrapper." What's inside that wrapper is all important. It will also tell you a bit more about using G-Spot and give you the link to download it.
