i built a page in fireworks. then in dreamweaver i delete 1 image slice in the center and replace it with a quicktime movie with the same dimensions. looks perfect in safari, but puts about a 4 pixel gap at the bottom of the quicktime when viewing it in firefox. then all my image slices go off. if i fix the gap for firefox by giving it that extra 4 pixels of room, then i get a mines space in safari and its all off in safari.
here is the code i am using for the quicktime file -
<td><object classid="clsid:02BF25D5-8C17-4B23-BC80-D3488ABDDC6B" codebase="http://www.apple.com/qtactivex/qtplugin.cab" height="375" width="640">
<param name="src" value="movies/01.mov" />
<param name="type" value="video/quicktime" height="375" width="640" />
<embed src="movies/01.mov" height="375" width="640" type="video/quicktime" loop="False" pluginspage="http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/"></embed>
This is rather a CSS/HTML question, not Fireworks
Some browser differences in code rendering give you trouble, I suppose... If you delete the image slice and replace it with another image, do you see the bug? If you replace it with an embedded Flash code block, does it happen?
