I'm using Flash CS4 and Vista x86. When I publish a project that has maybe like 30.000 lines of AS3, it takes up to 5 minutes to publish. Until it's done, Windows stops responding to any actions and basically freezes, so I can't do anything with the computer in the meantime. This is very frustrating and killing my productivity as I need to republish the project often while testing.
Why does this happen on a multi-core PC? As far as I know, Flash can't even utilize more than one core.
Is there any work-around?
I know I could perhaps publish some of the biggest classes separately and load them in as SWF:s, but that would be a huge pain in the neck also.
