Setting cookies via javascript in OSX

    gvasileiou

Hi, from the Adobe AIR reference I see that it's possible to set and get cookies via the network sandbox. Adobe also mentions that cookies are implemented via the OS network stack. On OSX this is handled by Safari. The main problem with this is that Safari by default restricts cross domain cookie setting via an iframe.

Strangely if the cookie is set in the request header it is set correctly. The problem appears when you try to set it via javascript (document.cookie). If the safari cookie setting is set to accept all the problem dissapears. Has anyone found a solution to this without modifying the cookie setting?

Adobe's info about cookie setting via JS is here: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/AIR/1.5/devappshtml/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d118666ade46-7eb3. html#WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d118666ade46-7ea9
