The default value for "maintainAspectRatio" attribute in <mx:Image ...> is true.
I do not think this attribute related to the image's resolution when shrinking the image.
TheFlexGuy, I tried the method in the link, but it makes no difference...
I'd be interested to see a code sample then to see how different the scenarios are.
I got this error when calling the smoothImage() method from the complete event. The error is displayed when running it in IE, but not in FF.
I guess the smoothImage() method was not called successfully.
SecurityError: Error #2122: Security sandbox violation: Loader.content: http://www.XYZ.com/lawyerOffice/LawyerOfficeDemo.swf cannot access http://XYZ.com/image/lawyerOffice/picture_5.jpg. A policy file is required, but the checkPolicyFile flag was not set when this media was loaded.
