You can get what you want from the work area bar.
Stretch the work area bar between any two points on your timeline. Then hover your mouse over the center of the work area bar and it will display the duration in frames.
My duration when I do that is in hours/mins/seconds/frames...Is there a way to make it just frames ?

I just found out... haha....that if I control click on the timecode it turns into just FRAMES... lol....no wonder you said what you did !
Hey, sorry for the late reply. But I wrote a desktop application for calculating Timecode. You are welcome to try it. You just need Java installed on your computer, which mostly all computers have nowadays. Also, would appreciate any feedback on how it's working for you. As I am always improving upon it.
