the swf will normally start to play as soon as the assets needed to display frame 1 and, the assets designated to load in frame 1 have loaded. you would then need to do something to prevent that from occuring (often by placing a stop() in an empty frame 1 of the loaded swf) and start the loaded swf playing after loading is complete. if you want to start playing when 50% loaded, you would do that.
Thanks for the response!
My .swf's only playback after loading completely and I have made sure there are no rogue stop()'s.
I wondered if you knew of a way to control the playback so that nothing happens until it has loaded 50%, then it begins playing and continuing to the load the remaining 50%?
there must be some code that prevents your swf from starting to play (or be displayed) when frame 1 is ready.
Or 100% of your content is in Frame 1—most of my swfs are only one frame.
yes, we covered that one in the first sentence of my first response:
"the swf will normally start to play as soon as the assets needed to display frame 1 and, the assets designated to load in frame 1 have loaded"
