Iam using the software video camera for my project. The help provides information on capturing alond with the video recording. Is there any way where I can add the narrative (audio) after I have captured the video?

Not by using Software Video Camera. This little beastie is getting quite long in the tooth. It was never really intended for what you are considering.

Yes, I know it's free and comes with the application and all, but there is a different and much more robust alternative if you are desiring narration. And you may even add it after the fact. The application is known as Captivate and can be viewed by clicking here.
