    Cannot change lost password

      Hi,

      I'm a teacher and last year I got fifteen of my class to sign up for Buzzword. I want them to access their account again, but they've all forgotten their passwords. With one child, I've tried logging in as them and following the Lost Password link, then completing the email address. That works fine and the child receives an email containing a link to change their password.

       

      I enter their correct email address and the new password twice, but each time there is an error, which says the email link might be more than 24hrs old. I've tried this 4 times now for the same child's account and get the same error each time. I've tried using three different browsers at school and now tried it at home.

       

      Help! Please?

          Hi Clive,

           

          I'm sorry you're having trouble - unfortunately I'm not able to reset passwords directly. Have you been able to use the reset password link successfully at all? I want to help you get this resolved - it maybe easier for the kids to start over with a new email addresss and new account, if possible.

            No, I've not managed to reset the passwords at all.

             

            I thought it might be something to do with the school filtering system, but have tried it at home as well, again with no success. Unfortunately, I can't get the children to sign up with another email as they signed up with the email provided by the county council and that is the only one they are allowed to use in school. Is it just us that are having this problem?

             

            If you can't reset passwords directly, what if I were able to give you their email addresses. Could you remove their accounts completely, so we can start over?

              Hi Clive,

               

              I just went thru the lost password process and it worked for me without any problems. I'm afraid I would have to send you to Adobe ID registration in order to cancel out all their accounts, and that I fear wouldn't get you anywhere fast. I would try clearing your cache and cookies and then trying again - just do one child's accout at a time. I will also ask some colleagues about the problem to see if they have additiional ideas.

                Okay. Thanks. I think I'm going to get them all to rack their brains to remember their password, even if it takes all day! Come to think of it, I wonder if I asked them all to use the same password... hmmm.
