The USING ROBOHELP HTML 8 .pdf says:

Bookmarks. Bookmarks appear alphabetically below their respective topics. Double-click to open a topic. Drag bookmarks into topics in Design Editor to create links.

Attached is sample screenshot.

Anybody?

There must be a logical explanation as to why my bookmarks are not listed alphabetically.

Are yours?

Maybe but not one I know the answer to. Yes mine are in alphabetical order.

What happens in a new project?

Hi there

Are these the result of an imported or a linked Microsoft Word document?

Does the order perhaps reflect the order in which the bookmarks appear in the topic?

Where did the screenshot come from? What I mean by that is what part of the application are you showing us the list from?

Cheers... Rick

Hi there

I believe I've managed to sort the issue. I believe you are seeing the unsorted bookmarks in your RoboHelp Project Manager, right?

Here's the deal. The Project Manager has two different ways of showing you information. There is an alphabetical view and another view where you control how things are listed. For example, in my view without alphabetical sorting going on, the bookmarks follow the order in which they are listed in my topic.

This changes if you click the sort button as shown below.

Thank you Captiv8r, the sort button does indeed sort the bookmarks.

I had avoided using this button as I wanted to keep all my folders and topics in a specific sequence (plus I didn't realise that it would also sort the bookmarks at the same time).

Nevertheless, having the bookmarks in alphabetical order will help me save a lot of time (specially when I have so many in one particular topic) and I can live with the folders/topics not being in a set sequence.

Thank you
