My client has requested that in addition to standard playable DVD, they would like a QuickTime movie (.mov) encoded to H.264 in the native production frame size. They can then deliver on a data DVD or post to an FTP site and can prepare it for upload to their internal site. They want us to supply both the playable dvd and the data discs. I record the field video in HD 1080i. How much effort is required to provide the H.264 data discs???
Not much at all. Just encode in AME for H.264 at whatever rate is appropriate for the frame size you want. Then burn it to a CD or DVD as a data file.
