      Hi ,

I am newbie to Flex, so please excuse if this is a dumb question .

Please tell me when should we use RemoteObject  and HttpService??

      Thanks in advance .

          RemoteObject:

Binary transfer - Moves faster across networks and de-serialized by the Flash Player run-time quickly

AMF gateway handles communication between your client and server objects for you, saving time coding your own service gateway. You can call your methods directly.

          HTTPService:

Text transfer - Moves slower than binary across networks. de-serialization is slower as not natively understood by the Flash Player run-time.

Service interface needs to be written to accept requests, call you scripted objects, and then format the response.

If your app consumes plenty of data, and you are responsible for defining the server architecture as well as the UI, you might be best opting for remoting.
