What fonts are they? might be something with outdated font metrics files...
They are, for example: Swiss, Square, Humanist, Futura...
From Bit Stream?
Yes. Is there any difference beetween Bitseream or Linotype?
Then you may be out of luck. I think some of these fonts are on some internal ignore list because they have indeed been superceded by newer versions of the fonts. If you will, they are hidden from you for your own safety. There was a way to circumvent this by editing the lists manually, but I honestly don't know how well it works....
They work on the Mac though and why they are not working on the PCI am not certain but what you might need is a font manager I use Font Agent Pro on the Mac but I amount certain they have a Windows version.
However there maybe a different location for installing the fonts like in a folder that might be call Applications Support>Adobe>Fonts
But I think this would be easier if you had a font manager.
Font Agent Pro and Suitcase both come in Windows versions.
I do not guarantee this will work if there is some restriction on the fonts.
Edit oh yes,
I am going to guess that you got these fonts fro the Corel CD and perhaps an old one and you might actually want to get a newer version as some of the fonts on the CD are flakey
Mylenium - Ignore list in illustrator? You see... I've worked with the same fonts on the same Adobe CS3 package. I have just new OS. So why those fonts did work on Vista x86 and doesn't work on 7 x64? I assume that here's the problem...?
Wade_Zimmerman - As I wrote, I've tried font manager, and it didn't help. But I'll try those You recommend.
Thank You... and You ;-)
I've tried installing these fonts on CS4 on Win 7 x64 and they work just fine. So it's pretty clear that problem is between Win 7 x64 and CS3. As for font manager, none of those You recommend works.
Any ideas...? :/
