    kill air program in processes?

i've been experimenting with transparent windows in air lately, and one problem I have been running into a lot lately is not being able to close the application. if there is a program error, and i can't get to my custom close button, the air application is still running, then i cannot restart and test again. i tried to find an instance of it running in the windows task manager but couldn't find it. does an air app have an entry in the processes section of a windows computer? how can i terminate an air program within flex? the only solution i have is to restart my computer when i get into this situation. thanks.
