    Saving PDF as jpeg

    Ulstad

Adobe updated my reader to 9. In my previous version, I could save a PDF to a jpeg. This was very usefull to me with several programs.

The new version 9 does not appear to have that functionality any longer.

      Questions

Can the function be found in version 9?

If not, where could I find, download and install a previous version of reader that was so usefull for me?

      Thanks

Yes, thisi function is available in Adobe Acrobat. The function was never availbale in Adobe Reader.

Sounds like you went from Acrobat to Reader (which isn't an upgrade but a downgrade). Reader can't convert PDF's to .jpg. It's basically an application to view and print PDF's.

If Acrobat is gone from your system, you will want to uninstall Reader then reinstall Acrobat being sure not to have both installed on your system (having both can cause other issues).

              Thanks.

I also have Acrobat. version 7. I opened it up and was able to save my PDf just as I wanted.

              Thanks again.

                Thanks,

I do have both, the reader was just automatically updated by adobe. But I also have Acrobat 7.

I opened it up and was able to save the PDF just as I wanted.

                Thanks again

                  You are welcome.

Keep in mind that having both installed is not recommended nor supported by Adobe. Some people can get lucky and won't suffer any ill effects with that configuration but others can suffer unfixable issues.
