Add the shape as a separate layer on top of the fire in AE, then select it as a Alpha or Luma Matte in the fire's modes slot (hit F4 to toggle, in case it's not visible)
yep its what i needed to be masked the blending modes i used stencil alpha to get it right, but the problem is this thats when its masked to the shape,i cant c the rest of the back ground, because the fire has also a black back ground to it. here is the example:
so how can i c see the fire effect with the temple and the warrior and the moon?
i tried to figure it out myself and it looks sort of right,i brought in the fire shape in the middle of the temple and all i did was put in the fire shape fractal noise and colorama, and it seems good to me,no masking needed after all,i didnt know that in a shape you can import you can add effects to it.
let me know if im right pls.
thank you sir.
